On Thursday, India added over 3.3 lakh cases. This was the second consecutive day when it added over 3 lakh new cases. No country so far has added these many cases for two consecutive days. Data collated by the WHO shows that there have been only two other occasions when new cases added by a country crossed 3,00,000 on a single day.
